We’re Wombat and Nelson — two songwriters walking by faith and writing songs for the journey.
Our first track, Ever the Same, was born from the truth that God never changes and never stops loving us. Since then, our music has grown into a testimony: that God never stops working, even in the hidden places.
Our songs are born from real faith lived in complex places, where light shines brightest in the dark. Most of what you’ll hear we’ve written ourselves, with one powerful contribution from our friend JT.
We stay anonymous due to the sensitive nature of where we work and serve — but the message isn’t about us.
It’s about a God who speaks through scars, and who brings joy that no border can block.
This is worship for the journey, crafted in secret, shared in faith, and offered in love.
We are Flaming Wombat and Duke Nelson — writing what we can’t not sing.
